‘The Wolverine’ Covers Entertainment Weekly

Hugh Jackman is on the cover of the May 31-June 7 edition of Entertainment Weekly! In it, he’s promoting – what else? – The Wolverine, and looking every ounce like the raging title character on the cover. EW was able to speak to Hugh about the upcoming film, and he compared it to X-Men Origins: Wolverine. “Somehow the first Wolverine movie ended up looking like the fourth X-Men – just with different characters,” he said. “I left unsure if we’d achieve our goal, which was to make sure people understood my character. This movie will really get to his core.” I hope to obtain and post scans soon.
Hugh Looks Ripped in New BTS Image from ‘The Wolverine’

Director James Mangold recently posted what has to be one of the most impressive pictures ever taken of Hugh Jackman. Taking on the character of Wolverine, he looks lean and absolutely ripped in a new behind the scenes rehearsal image from The Wolverine also featuring Hiro Sanada. Wow! His hard work – in the gym and in terms of his diet discipline – definitely seems to have paid off. Check out Mangold’s accompanying tweet below:

First Look at Hugh in ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’

Our first look at Hugh Jackman as Wolverine in X-Men: Days of Future Past has been revealed! Director Bryan Singer tweeted the photo, which also features Nicholas Hoult (as Beast) in the frame. What do you think of Hugh’s look in this film? Do you like the wig, or prefer the shorter style in The Wolverine? Check out Bryan’s tweet that accompanied the pic below:

Launch of SiriusXM’s Entertainment Weekly Radio Channel
Hugh Jackman helped launch the SiriusXM Entertainment Weekly Radio Channel on May 10th. The new EW Radio – unsurprisingly dedicated to all things pop culture – will officially debut to the public on May 28th on channel 105. At the launch event, Hugh met up with moderator and EW editor Jess Cagle and answered numerous fan questions for a segment entitled Town Hall. For those with the SiriusXM service and interested in tuning in, it will air on the 28th at 7:00am.
2013 Joyful Heart Foundation Gala
Apologies for the delays in updates. Between my birthday and a trip to New York, things have been a little hectic. But without further ado: on May 9th, Hugh Jackman and wife Deborra-Lee Furness attended the 2013 Joyful Heart Foundation Gala. The event was to raise awareness for sexual assault, domestic violence, and child abuse. The Joyful Heart Foundation was founded by Hugh and Deb’s friend, Mariska Hargitay (of “Law & Order: SVU”), after she received numerous letters from fans talking about issues her show tackled. A few photos from the evening have been added to the gallery.
