Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS (BC/EFA), a nonprofit AIDS fundraising and grant-making organization, has a little treat for Hugh Jackman fans who would also love to give back. As part of the annual Broadway Bears – now in its fifteenth year – a Hugh Jackman, Back on Broadway bear is available via online auction.

This one-of-a-kind teddy bear is designed specifically for the annual event and features a museum-quality outfit that borrows from the creativity of Back on Broadway. Of course, it’s no surprise that Hugh’s bear would bear the trademark Peter Allen gold lamé costume! Tres chic! As a bonus, the critter has also been signed by Hugh Jackman himself.

Bidding on this worthy collectable has already started, with the current price at $500. If you have the cash, definitely consider adopting this bear for your own while simultaneously supporting a great cause. (The auction will end before March 18th, so you’ll need to hurry and get bidding.) If you don’t have that much money around but you still want to donate to BC/EFA, please visit their official website and help make a difference.

More information on the bear (via the auction house) can be read below:

“Aussie, Aussie, Aussie” “Oi Oi Ooh-la-la!” America’s favorite Australian was back on Broadway this season and the always entertaining Hugh Jackman didn’t disappoint. Hugh sang, danced and joked his way through 10 weeks of sold-out shows, much to the delight of screaming and swooning audience members. And there were few screams louder than during the opening of Act Two when Hugh strutted onstage in the trademark gold spandex suit of his fellow Aussie showman Peter Allen, whom Hugh portrayed in The Boy from Oz, his Tony Award-winning Broadway debut. To honor the grandson of the “Tenterfield Saddler,” Hugh bear wears a Peter Allen-inspired gold sparkle spandex shirt with gold rivet buttons and matching gold corduroy trousers – extra tight – in a five-pocket-jeans style. He’ll sparkle on any stage as gold spandex socks, faux-crocodile leather shoes and a belt of gold leather complete the outfit. Our Hugh bear also sports a perfectly quaffed, Hugh-inspired wig of brown faux fur. The entire package is the perfect salve to hold anyone over until Hugh’s next Broadway return, now slated for the 2013-2014 season.

Hugh’s bear sold for $5,000. The War Horse bear brought in the most money as it sold for $20,000.
